We all know how much the price of food has risen, especially meat, so it's no surprise that people are shopping around to save some money.

One way of doing exactly that is to buy in bulk and Meat Mart is one of the businesses shoppers are turning to.

While Aldi and Lidl are largely considered the cheapest of all the supermarkets - and regularly come out on top in our weekly price comparison of key groceries - Meat Mart is proving cheaper than those for chicken.

A huge 5kg tray of extra lean chicken breast fillets costs £29.87 at Meat Mart, which works out at £5.98 per kg. The cheapest you'll find it in Aldi and Lidl is £12.29 for a 2kg pack, which works out at £6.15 per kg. View 4 Images
