HSBC UK has announced an extension to its "branch promise", ensuring that all 327 of its branches will remain open until at least 2027.

The banking giant also revealed plans to increase investment in its branch network by approximately 30% next year, pledging £55.8 million in 2026, compared with the £42 million allocated in 2025.

This investment will fund the refurbishment and modernisation of branches throughout the UK.

The branch promise follows commitments made over the previous two years, during which the bank pledged not to announce any further branch closures until the end of this year.
