The Met Office has issued a warning to 25 counties that they may be subject to power cuts tomorrow (Sunday, December 14) as conditions continue to worsen.
Rain is expected to batter the country from the west coast of Wales, throughout northern England and up through Scotland.

The weather authorities' alerts come into effect at midnight and will continue until 6pm on Monday.
Alongside the risk of power cuts comes the risk of flooding, due to saturated ground, which could cause road and rail disruption.
