A woman died Friday afternoon in a head-on crash in Jackson Township, Police Chief Matthew Kunz told NJ Advance Media.

The crash happened on Toms River Road in the area of Osprey Place, Kunz said.

The 43-year-old Perth Amboy woman was not identified late Friday night.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and Kunz said he could not provide any other details.
