Massachusetts will see the sun on Saturday, before overnight snowfall drapes a white blanket over most of the state.
The National Weather Service forecasts Boston to reach a high temperature of 38 degrees in the afternoon with some gentle winds. Worcester will get up to 34 degrees, while Western Mass. will see temps in the high-20s.
The western part of the state will see snow first, with a chance of flurries beginning as early as 11 a.m. The majority of the snowfall will occur after midnight, however, with forecasts calling for around an inch in Western Mass.
Accumulation will be more significant in the central and eastern parts of the state. The National Weather Service predicts 1 to 3 inches for Boston and 4 to 5 inches for Cape Cod & the Islands. Central Mass. south of the Mass Pik
