The Phoenix Zoo announced it has a brand new animal following the birth of a female Masai giraffe.

A 12-year-old female named Sunshine gave birth to the calf on Nov. 16 at the Phoenix Zoo. The birth is the result of a Species Survival Program paired Sunshine and 16-year-old male, Miguu (pronounced Me-goo). This is Sunshine’s fifth calf born at the Phoenix Zoo.

Until the calf is old enough to be introduced to the rest of the herd, she and Sunshine will remain in the giraffe barn and will not be visible to the general public.

In the meantime, guests can see Miguu and Imara out on the Savanna habitat at the Zoo.

More information about the name of the calf will be released soon.
