Sudbury members of the Canadian Federation of University Women marked the season of giving by making several donations to local groups that help to build a better community, the organization announced in a media release this past week.

One of CFUW Sudbury’s main objectives is to encourage women to pursue higher education and to raise money for scholarships. Over the years, the group’s reserve fund has grown considerably, leading its executive to establish a Giving Plan Committee to engage the membership in deciding how the money should best be used within the community.

The Giving Plan, approved by CFUW Sudbury members in May, included distributing a total $13,625 in fall 2025. Cheques were presented to the following organizations at the November meeting:
