As has been the case annually for nearly a decade now, minimum wage in Flagstaff will increase once again as the new year arrives. However, the increase to $18.35 per hour, up nearly a full dollar from 2023’s $17.40, has also been cited as at least part of the impetus for rising parking rates in downtown Flagstaff and at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport.

Additionally, 2025 once again saw the departure of some national brands from Flagstaff, while others explored the possibility of expanding north from the Valley. Multiple new local options also opened, many coming as expansions from current business owners who sought to extend their reach to more customers through new concepts or to underserved parts of the city.
