NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Friday evening.

Officers responded around 6:10 p.m. to the 12000 block of Nettles Drive, where they found a man inside a home with a gunshot wound that is believed to be non-life-threatening. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. Police have not released information about a suspect.
