PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire in Perquimans County that left three people dead Saturday morning, according to Perquimans County Emergency Services.
The fire happened in the 1900 block of Harvey Point Road in Hertford. The fire was brought under control, and a Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office unit is currently on scene.
Officials say three people were pronounced dead, and two people survived the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The North Carolina State Fire Marshal’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are assisting with the investigation.
