CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Quick action by firefighters prevented a vehicle fire from spreading to a nearby home in the 1000 block of Collingwood Avenue in Chesapeake on Saturday.

The fire happened around 12:34 p.m. Crews responded five minutes later to find a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters from Chesapeake and Norfolk deployed hoselines, quickly extinguishing the flames and checking the home to ensure the fire had not spread. No residents were displaced, and no one was injured.

Fire investigators are on scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
