A man who got a job working as a hospital's diversion and inclusivity manager has been hauled before a court after failing to tell bosses he had a conviction for racially aggravated assault.
Philip Waldman applied for the role at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital Trust in June 2018 and started in January 2019. He falsely claimed he had worked at the London Stock Exchange , the Bank of New York Mellon, and Santander, having provided supposed "references" from each company.
Waldman, 38, also claimed he had one previous conviction for being drunk on a highway but this was untrue, prosecutor Tanya Elahi told Minshull Street Crown Court. She said. "He ha
