Johnson County Sheriff's Office: Suspicious person in Gore Canyon area, call 911 if seen

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Johnson County Sheriff's Office has issued a public alert regarding a person in the Gore Canyon area.

Residents are advised to go inside and lock their doors. The sheriff's office urges the public if they see a male wearing black pants and a black jacket over a gray hoodie, to call 911 immediately.

"DO NOT FB MESSAGE US. CALL 911," said the sheriff's office in an online post.

The alert was issued at 12:14 p.m. on December 13. The sheriff's office said they will provide updates when the situation is resolved.
