POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people were sent to a local hospital after a rollover crash near Poplar Bluff on Friday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened on December 12, at 9:50 p.m., along South Westwood at US Highway 67, just south of Poplar Bluff.

State police said a 32-year-old man from Poplar Bluff was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro going south when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, overturned and hit a pole.

A 32-year-old female passenger from Poplar Bluff was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The driver was reported with minor injuries and taken to the Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment. The passenger was reported with serious injuries and also taken to the same hospital.
