A bicyclist is in stable condition after being hit by a car on Airport Road Saturday afternoon, the Chattanooga Police Department says.

Officers say the bicyclist swerved into oncoming traffic.

Paramedics took the cyclist to the hospital, where they are in stable condition. We're working to learn the identity of the person involved.

The crash also caused damage to the windshield of the car.
