Aldi has issued an urgent recall for a festive food product as it contains eggs which have not been mentioned on the label. The supermarket's Christmas Mozzarella Sticks in Blankets have been taken off shelves and customers in possession of them are urged to return them to a local store.

As egg is not mentioned on the label, it means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg. The supermarket has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall .
