Daniel “Booby” Gibson dropped names, including his own, after he was pulled over during a routine traffic stop this week.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers star played alongside LeBron James , so he’s pretty well known. He identified himself to an officer, who already knew who he was.
The former shooting guard played for Cleveland from 2006 to 2013, averaging 7.8 points, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game.
As for his interaction with the cop, it was pretty friendly. Gibson had been pulled over because his taillights were off. He explained that the vehicle was new, and he thought they were on because he had them set to “auto.”
They both laughed it off, and he slipped the Cavs in there again, likely to ensure he didn’t get a ticket. The officer let him know he wouldn’t write him up,
