CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Anticipating snowfall and dangerously cold temperatures, Gov. Patrick Morrisey has declared a State of Preparedness for all 55 counties in West Virginia.
The declaration, which takes effect immediately, will remain in place through Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.
According to the governor’s office, the move is intended to ensure state agencies are ready to respond quickly to weather-related emergencies that may develop during the upcoming period of winter conditions.
Under the order, Gov. Morrisey directed state personnel and resources to prepare for possible mobilization and response efforts.
