Guard Ty-Laur Johnson scored 10 of his game-high 23 points during an 18-12 University of San Diego run over the final 5½ minutes Saturday afternoon to lead the Toreros to a 78-69 victory over Northern Arizona at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Toneari Lane hit five 3-point shots for USD, which also got 10 points from guard Adrian McIntyre.
Eleven Toreros scored and 10 played at least nine minutes as balanced USD improved to 4-6. Northern Arizona fell to 4-6.
