Hours after a gunman entered Brown University's Barus and Holley Engineering Building in Providence , Rhode Island on Dec. 13 and opened fire, law enforcement are still searching for the suspect and the campus, plus the surrounding area, is still on lockdown.

Brown University President Christina Paxson confirmed that the two victims who were killed and eight of the victims who were injured were Brown University students. Paxson did not know whether the ninth victim, who was wounded by shrapnel and initially fled the scene, is a student.
