ROCHESTER — Kathrine Nickerson has proudly raised successful, good children, but her success story comes on the heels of a devastating time in her life that she says she likely would not have survived without Community Action Partnership of Strafford County.
"When they asked me to talk about my life for the Gift of Warmth program, I couldn't say yes fast enough," said Nickerson. "I think the community action program is one of the most amazing organizations out there. They listened to me, believed in me and helped me succeed."
Nickerson, 45, said she understands Gift Of Warmth raises money for the community action programs by telling the stories of people in need who are receiving help from CAP. She said her story is a positive one, and she hopes it encourages even one person who is strug
