The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain covering parts of County Durham and Darlington.
The warning is in place from 6am tomorrow (December 15) until 3am Tuesday (December 16) and predicts flooding and travel disruption.
There is also a slight risk of interruption to power supplies, and could affect bus and train services.
Accumulations of rain from 20-30 mm are expected to build up widely with the potential for 40-50 mm in a few areas.

· Durham
· Hartlepool
· Middlesbrough
· Redcar and Cleveland
· Stockton-on-Tees
· Sunderland
