CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Over 6 inches of snow fell in parts of North Central West Virginia, including Morgantown and Bruceton Mills, between Saturday afternoon, Dec. 13, and early Sunday morning, Dec. 14.
Snow totals were lower in the southern parts of North Central West Virginia. Clarksburg and Fairmont recorded around 3 inches of snow, while Lewis County received under 2 inches.
Gov. Patrick Morrisey late Saturday issued a Snow Preparedness order for all 55 counties that will last through Thursday.
Morrisey ordered personnel and resources to prepare to mobilize and respond to any emergency that may develop and delegated certain administrative powers to the Director of the West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD) to facilitate the provision of essential emergency services.
