HONOLULU (Island News) -- Satellite images show that the leftover weather front between Maui County and the Big Island is fading away.
Radar also shows very little rain with it. Most of the rain actually fell yesterday over Oahu and Molokai when the front first moved across the islands. Winds are light this morning, which allows land breezes to form. Because of this, today should stay mostly dry, though Maui County could still see a few light showers since some moisture is still hanging around there.
Weather instruments on Maunakea continue to show strong winds at the summits. Because of this, the Wind Advisory for the Big Island summits has been extended for six more hours and will now end at noon HST, unless conditions change.
