SRINAGAR : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested nine persons for their alleged involvement in illegal mining activities at Padgampora in Awantipora area of south Kashmir, officials said. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

A police team from Police Station Awantipora, led by the station house officer and functioning under the supervision of the sub divisional police officer Awantipora, conducted the operation and detained the accused from the site, police said.

Those arrested were identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Kandizal; Shahid Ahmad Hurra, son of Mohammad Mustafa Hurra of Dangerpora; Gulzar Ahmad Dar, son of Aima Dar of Kandizal; Nawaz Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Kandizal; Mohammad Abdullah Dar, son of Ghulam Ah
