PECO is showing about 1,700 customers in Delaware County without power about 8:30 a.m. Sunday as the snow continues to fall. But that outage figure has been fluctuating.
There have been numerous calls for tree limbs down on wires or simply wires down during the snowfall. There was also a pole fire in Upper Providence Township about 5:30 a.m.
Numerous fire alarms were attended to during the busy overnight for first responders.
A National Weather Service-issued winter storm warning is in effect until Sunday at 1 p.m. The snow is expected to move out of the area about 11 a.m., but windy conditions are likely to develop and blowing snow will follow.
