A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 9:22 a.m. for lake effect snow and showers until 5 p.m. for Beaver, Allegheny, Washington and Greene counties.

"Northwest winds are expected through the day gusting up to 30 mph at times. This will bring some lake effect snow showers across the area through the afternoon. Expect the snow showers to reduce visibility below a quarter mile at times. This will also put down up to an inch of snow at times. The gusty winds, moderate snow at times, and reduced visibility will make travel hazardous throughout the day. Use caution if out traveling today, especially with unplowed or untreated secondary roads," says the weather service.
