AUBURN, Wash. — The City of Auburn issued a Level 3 "Go Now" evacuation notice for residents and businesses across multiple neighborhoods as severe and rapidly worsening flooding spreads through the community.

The evacuation area includes locations south of South 277th Street, east of State Route 167, west of the Green River and north of 42nd Street Northeast. The order covers the Trail Run community, Copper Gate Apartments and surrounding neighborhoods.

On Saturday, residents near Pike Street Northeast and Pike Place Northeast along the Green River were also ordered to evacuate.

Jonathan Glover, communication manager for the City of Auburn, said the flooding developed rapidly over the past week.
