The unarmed bystander who bravely tackled a gunman and likely saved many lives during Sunday’s mass shooting in Australia has been identified.

Bondi Beach, Sydney, was the scene of what authorities are calling a targeted antisemitic attack. At least 11 people are dead, while 29 have been hospitalized with injuries.

A pair of gunmen opened fire during the Jewish holiday celebration, one of whom was killed. The other is in critical condition, and police are investigating whether there was a third shooter.
