MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) - From giant gingerbread men and nutcrackers to walking candy canes and even mariner boats doing donuts in the street, the Morehead City Christmas parade had something for everyone.

For families like Susan Kelly’s, the parade is a tradition; three generations came out Saturday to celebrate, including young Verina Hall.

“The candy and the dancers, that’s my favorite, I like all of it,” Hall said.

The parade featured over 124 groups, including high school bands, boats filled with elves, and even the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium showcasing their sharks and walking shrimp.

It stretched more than 11 blocks and attracted thousands of spectators from Arendell Street to 17th Street.
