On Sunday at 12:58 p.m. the National Weather Service released a high wind watch valid from Tuesday 10 p.m. until Wednesday 4 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon, Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon, Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon, Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon and North Central Oregon.
The weather service adds, "Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts 55 to 60 mph possible."
"Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," says the weather service. "Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates."
