The body of a boy has been pulled from a lake in Sutton Park after reports of a teenager going missing in the water.

West Midlands Police arrived at Powell's Pool in the park in Sutton Coldfield just after 6 pm on Thursday, 10th July.

The area was cordoned off, and emergency services searched with boats on the water and a helicopter flying over the lake.

Police reported that they had found the boy's body just after midnight and say his death is not being treated as suspicious.
