GONZALES, La. (WAFB) - Illegal vape sales were shut down at two smoke shops in Gonzales following an undercover operation, police said.

According to the Gonzales Police Department, the undercover operation targeted the illegal sales at King Smoke Shop and Cali Smoke Shop. The operation was launched after investigators received community complaints, police said.

The The King Smoke shop is located on E. Cornerview Road, while the Cali Smoke Shop is located on E. Ascension Street.

Police said that during searches of the smoke shops, agents seized 80 packages of THC buds, 80 packages of Kratom, 26 THC vapes, and additional vape products not authorized for sale in Louisiana.
