TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is holding a news conference in Tampa on Wednesday.

DeSantis is expected to announce the appointment of the state's next Chief Financial Officer, who oversees the Florida Department of Financial Services.

The position has been vacant since former Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year.
