The Bruins and the NHL provided some cooling thoughts during the latest blast of heat Wednesday by revealing the 2025-26 schedule .
For the Bruins, the season will start Oct. 8 with a date against goal-scoring king Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals in Washington at 7:30. Boston will open its home slate the next night against fellow Original Six franchise Chicago at 7 p.m.
It’s the first of 13 sets of back-to-back games on the schedule.
The Bruins will play 13 games in October, followed by 14 each in November, December, and January. They’ll play just four games in February because of the Olympics, followed by 16 in March. Boston finishes with seven April games, including the finale against New Jersey on March 14 at TD Garden.
