ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Two people were arrested in Alexandria on meth possession charges, according to the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement Unit (RADE).

Alton Jones , 43, was charged with:

Distribution of meth warrant

Possession of meth with intent to distribute

Possession of marijuana

Iyana Chiquita Harrell , 23, was charged with:

Possession of meth with intent to distribute

Possession of marijuana

In June 2025, RADE said it was contacted by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office regarding Jones being arrested at a local business for allegedly attempting to pass counterfeit cash and two narcotic-related violations. RADE shared that Jones was known as a narcotics violator in Rapides Parish. Thus, a new investigation was opened.
