BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- A DUI checkpoint will be held in part of Raleigh County by members of the West Virginia State Police.
According to a press release from the Beckley Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 a DUI checkpoint will be held in the Beckley area of Raleigh County on U.S. Route 19 around 0.1 mile south of the intersection with WV Route 41 (Johnstown Road).
The press release stated that the checkpoint is intended to help educate the public about the risks of driving while impaired, as well as help prevent people from driving while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
