MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - The Madison Police Department said three teenagers are facing several burglary and theft charges following a series of burglaries at Bob Jones High School.

On July 2, staff at Madison City Schools called MPD regarding a series of burglaries that happened at BJHS from June 25-28.

The school said several thousand dollars worth of computer equipment, digital camera equipment, musical instruments, furniture and tools were taken. MPD said that a majority of the items have been recovered.

Through an investigation, MPD identified three teenagers who they said were connected to the burglaries. One 16-year-old student was charged with four felony counts of third-degree burglary and one felony count of first-degree theft of property. Another 16-year-old student was charged
