Raul Garayzar of Rio Rico was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 18th round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft on Monday.

Garayzar, a righthanded pitcher, completed his senior season at the University of Arizona this spring with a 2.81 earned run average while allowing just 1.18 walks and hits per inning pitched. He appeared in 21 games for the Wildcats – including eight starts – striking out 46 batters in 57.2 innings pitched. ×
