CADDO PARISH, La. (KALB) - A Caddo Parish inmate has been charged with aggravated arson for setting fire inside of the Caddo Correctional Center in Shreveport, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Shreveport Fire Department asked the SFM to investigate a fire in the jail back on June 22, 2025. It was determined that Zechariah Stutts, 20, of Shreveport, set a fire inside an air vent where 17 other inmates were incarcerated.

Stutts was charged on July 8 with the charges above by the fire marshal’s office.
