LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. - An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old girl who is believed to be in imminent danger after her reported abduction in Lake George, New York, on Saturday night.
The girl, Melina Galanis Frattolin, was last seen around 9:40 p.m. on Interstate 87 near Exit 22. New York State Police activated the Amber Alert shortly after her disappearance.
Authorities have not identified any suspects in the case. Details surrounding the circumstances of the abduction remain unclear, including what Melina was doing at the time and who she was with.
According to the Amber Alert, "The child was taken under circumstances that lead the police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious bodily harm and/or death."
Melina is described as having brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs around 100 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing light-colored shorts, a black and white striped shirt, and white Adidas sneakers.
