Two members of the Canadian Armed Forces suffered stab wounds at a home in Wainwright where they are based, say RCMP who have charged a 23-year-old man in the case.

Wainwright RCMP called to a disturbance at a home in the town, about 200 km southeast of Edmonton, at 11:54 p.m. on July 18 were told that the two stabbing victims had been taken to hospital, police said in a Tuesday news release.

Both victims are expected to recover, said the release.

Officers located and arrested a man who has since been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, said RCMP.

Both stabbing are members of the Canadian Armed Forces based at CFB Wainwright .
