The wrestling world has lost a giant.
Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea) died at the age of 71, according to NBC Los Angeles. One of the most famous wrestlers of all time, Hogan was a star with WWF and WCW.
Instantly recognizable with his red bandanna, blonde goatee and feathered boas, Hogan would often tear his tank top down the middle after entering the ring. A six-time WWF champion, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, once individually (2005) and again as a member of the New World Order (2020).
NBC reports Hogan died at his home in Clearwater, Florida “surrounded by family.”
Beyond the ring, Hogan was also a successful actor with roles in “Rocky III,” “No Holds Barred,” and “Suburban Commando” among others, and also starred in the reality TV series “Hogan Knows Best.”
