QUINCY (WGEM) - Career specialists in the Tri-States said smaller student bodies can help with finding employment after graduation.
According to the Federal Reserve, unemployment for recent college graduates is at its highest point since 2021. Local colleges report that they are not facing that problem.
“Of our December class, we already have a large placement,” said Kristen Liesen, Quincy University director of experimental learning.
According to Liesen, relationships with the local community has led to recent graduates being able to make connections.
“Our companies in Quincy are so wonderful to help them write the right resume bullets and help them network and really set them up,” Liesen explained.
