MACOMB (WGEM) - Macomb Park District has a new executive director.

At Tuesday night’s board meeting, the park district commissioners promoted Blake Severs to executive director.

Severs is from Macomb and started working at the Macomb Park District in 2022 as superintendent of Support Services and Security.

“I want this to be a great place for my family, I want it to be a great place for other families and generations to come,” said Severs. “I want this to be a park district that is going to be around for a long time, so I want to make sure that even beyond me that this is a place that is viable, safe and a great asset to the community.”
