A motorcyclist ran a red light moments before he fatally crashed into a trash truck Wednesday on Route 322 in Dauphin County, police said.

Swatara Township police said Noel Soto, 37, of Derry Township, crashed a Honda motorcycle into the driver’s side of a Penn Waste truck around 4:45 a.m. after running the red light on Route 322 east at Witmer Drive.

The trash truck had a green light at the time, police said.
