BRATTLEBORO — Four childcare providers in Windham and Bennington counties are the recipients of small grants that will make a big impact on the services they provide to local families.
More than 100 providers applied for grants through the Vermont Early Childhood Fund, which is administered by Building Better Futures , which also maintains Vermont’s Early Childhood Action Plan.
Though nearly $3 million was awarded, requests for grant funding "far surpassed the available funding," states information from BBF.
Recipients in Southern Vermont include The Family Garden and Wild Strawberry Forest School in Brattleboro, and the Sunrise Family Resource Center and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
