PHOENIX — Lori Vallow Daybell — the so-called "Doomsday Mom" convicted of killing two of her children — was issued a life sentence Friday morning after she was found guilty in two separate murder conspiracy trials in Arizona earlier this year.

Prior to that, in 2023, Vallow Daybell was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in Idaho for the deaths of her children, Tylee and JJ, and Tammy Daybell, her current husband's first wife. She was extradited from Idaho to Arizona to face the additional murder conspiracy charges.

Before the sentencing was announced, the defendant had a chance to address the court and took the opportunity to criticize the justice system and espouse her beliefs as to what happens to the human spirit after death.
