NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - The wife of the man convicted of killing four people and then setting their homes on fire in Laurel, Nebraska three years ago is set to stand trial on her own charges related to the case next week.
Carrie Jones is the wife of Jason Jones. She is charged with first-degree murder for the role prosecutors say she played in the shooting death of Gene Twiford in August 2022 at his home in Laurel, Nebraska.
Carrie’s trial is set to begin in Norfolk, Nebraska, on Monday, July 28, with jury selection taking place at the high school there. The trial was moved from Cedar County after a judge ruled it would be hard to find an impartial jury there.
