Three women in their early 20s have been arrested following a stabbing incident in North Vancouver early Saturday morning. The North Vancouver RCMP received a call around 2:45 a.m. about a distraught woman near the Lonsdale Quay bus loop. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Police later discovered two additional women on the second floor of a building above the bus loop. One of these women also had injuries similar to the first. According to authorities, the three women were involved in a dispute that escalated into an assault.

Cpl. Mansoor Sahak stated, "There was a dispute between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred." The police believe the stabbings are an isolated incident and pose no ongoing risk to the public.

Of the three women arrested, two were taken to the hospital for treatment. One sustained minor injuries, while the other suffered more serious wounds. All three women are facing potential charges related to the incident.

As the investigation is still in its early stages, police are seeking additional information. Cpl. Sahak noted, "As the investigation is in its very early stages, there are a lot of unanswered questions that police are seeking answers for."
